taking the bodhisattva vow in NYC

This past weekend, more than 130 aspiring Bodhisattvas gathered at KMC NYC to receive the Bodhisattva Vow at a special ceremony with Resident Teacher, Kadam Morten.

When we take the Bodhisattva Vow, we are committing to using this life to transform who we are, because we recognize we need to be the change we want to see in this world.

Slowly, methodically, by paying attention to our thoughts and our actions and holding the determination to benefit every living being, we can profoundly shift our identity until eventually we become an enlightened being, a Buddha - someone who effortlessly benefits everyone moment by moment just by existing.

The ceremony was followed by a celebration party.
