As the last of the post Fall Festival retreats draws to a close, it is a good time to reflect on the meaning and purpose of the post Festival retreats.

The three International Festivals are precious opportunities to receive teachings and empowerments from the Gen-las, and this experience is greatly enhanced if we can spend some time after the Festival in retreat improving our understanding of the teachings and taking their meaning to heart. We also have an opportunity to mix with fellow retreaters who can also be a great help and inspiration.

In this way we will carry a more stable understanding and experience from the Festival into our daily life, which will benefit both ourself and those with whom we live and work.

Post Festival retreats are organised by Kadampa centers around the world after each of the three International Festivals. Information about these appears on kadampafestivals.org once the details of the Festivals are finalised.

How wonderful if we can include some retreat experience in our Festival plans for 2019!

In this short video, which shows some of the highlights of the 2018 post Fall Festival retreats, some retreaters share their thoughts on what they have gained from their experience.
