Today, Dharmachakra Day, is the day we celebrate the birthday of our precious Spiritual Guide and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. Venerable Geshe-la worked throughout his life to make Kadam Dharma available to people throughout the world, showing how it is the best method to solve daily problems.
Several centers took an important step forward during the month of May, organizing special ceremonies (at KMC France and KMC Slovenia) and special courses (at KMC Hong Kong and Lamrim KBC in Valladolid, Spain).
Our National Spiritual Director, Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang, visited Switzerland from 6–15 May 2024. In 10 days she visited Kadampa centers throughout the country and held public talks in our largest cities. With her pure example and boundless energy for the inner spiritual path, she brought great energy and inspiration to all these places and met with many people from all walks of life.
In recent weeks many people had the opportunity to receive Buddha’s special blessings in KMC Brazil KMC Colombia KBC Samudra (Switzerland) KMC Cordoba (Argentina) and KBC Dromtönpa in Bern, Switzerland. In addition KBC Samudra were celebrating the opening of their new centre.
In the last few weeks, participants in France, Sweden and South Africa have had the opportunity to engage in various courses to explore the power of positive minds.
Dharma is developing in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) as students pay their first visit to their new premises, and Dharma is taught for the first time in Rosario (Argentina) with a public talk followed by a retreat.
Blessing empowerments of Buddha Vajrasattva, Shakyamuni, and Amitayus took place in April. Those who attended in Madrid, Huddersfield, and New Caledonia had a great opportunity to connect with these Deities to strengthen their practice and their good qualities.
Two special events took place at KMC Florida in the US and Bodhisattva KMC in Brighton in the UK. Regional events bring together communities from many local centers to join in and celebrate the study and practice of Kadam Dharma together.
