Blessing empowerments of Buddha Vajrasattva, Shakyamuni, and Amitayus took place in April. Those who attended in Madrid, Huddersfield, and New Caledonia had a great opportunity to connect with these Deities to strengthen their practice and their good qualities.
On the weekend of April 20 - 21, we gathered at the KMC Madrid urban Center to receive the powerful blessings of Buddha Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification. The empowerment was granted by our Resident Teacher, Gen Tsongmo, with her compassionate, practical, and humble approach. Exactly 100 people attended - just like the 100-letter mantra! They came from different parts of Madrid and other places, like Bilbao and Toledo! For some, it was their first empowerment.
We dedicate this inspiring experience to the flourishing of Dharma in our hearts, in Madrid, all of Spain, and the world. We are deeply grateful to our Founder, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, for making this path of compassion and wisdom possible.
Thank you all for being part of this wonderful reunion!
On Saturday 29 April 2024 at KMC Vajrapani in the UK, around 50 attendees had the great good fortune to receive the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni from our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Varahi. It was a joyous and uplifting occasion for all, particularly for those receiving empowerment for the very first time.
A half-day retreat on the Liberating Prayer took place the following day, allowing us to deepen our connection with Buddha’s powerful blessings!
From April 19 to 22, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Kaliash KBC in New Caledonia with the blessing empowerment of Buddha Amitayus given by Gen Kelsang Rabten, the National Spiritual Director for Australasia & Southeast Asia, who traveled from Sydney for this event.
On Friday we started the event with an introductory session in the evening. The empowerment of Buddha Amitayus took place in the morning on Saturday, followed by a vegetarian lunch, complete with a birthday cake for dessert!
On Sunday morning we enjoyed a commentary on The Yoga of Buddha Amitayus, followed by a session where we engaged in the practice.
On Monday morning Gen Rabten presided over Offering to the Spiritual Guide prayers and the final session of the weekend turned into a question-and-answer, where Gen Rabten addressed questions posed throughout the weekend with kindness and wisdom.
Gen Rabten also kindly gave a public talk at the chamber of commerce in the city center on the theme “How to live without anxiety”. Well attended, it was a great highlight of the weekend!
