Latest Dharma Celebrations
Two special events took place at KMC Florida in the US and Bodhisattva KMC in Brighton in the UK. Regional events bring together communities from many local centers to join in and celebrate the study and practice of Kadam Dharma together.
Loving-kindness at KMC Florida
Sangha from all seven Kadampa Centers in Florida joined together this past weekend at the beautiful Kadampa World Peace Temple in Sarasota to receive the profound blessings of Buddha Maitreya, the Buddha of Loving Kindness, from our National Spiritual Director, Kadam Morten.
Our Celebration began with Gen Gomlam giving a beautiful introduction to the practice of equalizing self and others. The next day, Kadam Michelle led us in meditation on this profound practice. Kadam Morten emphasized the power of faith, stopping distractions, the importance of placement meditation, and ripening our spiritual potential to become the Buddha of loving-kindness for the benefit of all through the Yoga of Buddha Maitreya.
‘Especially through my meditation on the three aspects of love, may I always care for all living beings without exception, be free from outer and inner obstructing maras, and attain the state of the Buddha of Loving Kindness.’
Buddha Shakyamuni at Bodhisattva KMC in the UK
The Southern UK Dharma Celebration with National Spiritual Director of the UK, Kadam Bridget Heyes, took place in April at Bodhisattva KMC. Almost 250 participants enjoyed a weekend of teachings, meditations, and Buddha Shakyamuni empowerment. Kadam Bridget gave beautiful teachings on practicing the Four Noble Truths in our daily lives to transform them into a genuine spiritual path to liberation and enlightenment.
The weekend was very harmonious, with many volunteers helping to run this event! Thank you everybody!
