The journey of forgiving ourself and forgiving others

Gen Demo reminds us that assigning blame to ourselves or others is a fruitless endeavor that only serves to erode our self-confidence and breed animosity towards those around us. Rather than fixating on our imperfections, Gen Demo encourages us to recognize that imperfections do not define us and are not inherently part of us. We can cultivate a more realistic, and positive mindset by shifting our focus to embrace the pure underlying nature our mind, which is like a clear sky, instead of dwelling on the passing storm clouds of our faults. This podcast is an extract from a talk given by Gen Demo in KMC DC. It is based on the book The New Eight Steps to Happiness by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
