On the second day of Festival set-up at Manjushri KMC we asked some of the people working what they enjoyed most about being here at this time.

With the Spring Festival less than two weeks away, preparations began in earnest today to transform Manjushri KMC into a Festival site where everyone will be welcomed to enjoy an amazing week with Gen-la Khyenrab.

Yesterday evening, Buddha’s Enlightenment Day, saw the special weekend of purification retreats and celebrations come to a close, with many centers engaging in a special puja of thanksgiving and dedication.

April 15th marks the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni demonstrating the attainment of enlightenment in 589 B.C.E.This is an extremely important day in the Buddhist calendar because our actions are much more powerful than on other days.
