January is retreat month in Mexico. The students of Mexico City joined Gen Kelsang Sangden, the Resident Teacher and National Spiritual Director in a retreat on the five stages of the Oral Instructions of Mahamudra.

On January 15 and 16, KMC Colombia started the year with a long-life retreat on Buddha Amitayus. The participants, in person and online, made prayers to increase longevity, wisdom and good fortune for the benefit of all sentient beings.

The 2021 Argentinian Festival took place last weekend hosted by KMC Argentina. Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, granted the empowerment of Buddha Prajnaparamita and gave teachings on the practice remotely from IKRC Grand Canyon in Arizona. The meditations were led by Kelsang Atisha, Resident Teacher of KBC Bodhisattva, remotely from Córdoba, and the festival finished with a beautiful retreat led by Gen Kelsang Rinchung, the Resident Teacher of KMC Argentina.
The 5th National Festival of Chile took place at KMC Chile last weekend, where fortunate disciples gathered in person and online to listen, contemplate and meditate on the deep teachings of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT. Many people met both in person and online from Santiago, Viña del Mar, Concepcion, Rancagua, San Fernando, Talca, and Puerto Montt to receive the wisdom blessings of Great Mother Prajnaparamita and commentary to the Yoga of Great Mother Prajnaparamita. Meditations were guided by Gen Kelsang Chokyong, Resident Teacher of KMC Chile, and the retreat is led by Kelsang Osel, Resident Teacher of KBC Viña del Mar.
The Brasilian Festival 2021 was held at KMC Brasil last weekend. The blessing empowerment of Great Mother Prajnaparamita and teachings on the Yoga of Great Mother Prajnaparamita were granted remotely by Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU. Meditations were led in-person by Gen Kelsang Mudita, National Spiritual Director of Brasil.
