This weekend KMC Perth took part in the local Perth Festival who organised a street party along 10km length of Highway. Thousands of people attended from different parts of Australia and the world to pay tribute to a local hero Bon Scott, the former lead singer of the ACDC who died 40 years ago.
As the last leg of his tour of Australasia, yesterday Gen-la Khyenrab, Retired Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, visited the beautiful center at KMC Brisbane to give a public talk:
The Choose Happiness Public Talk at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music yesterday drew smiles from a crowd of almost 380 people who came to hear Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, Retired General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU and National Spiritual Director of Canada.
After the Australian Festival, Gen-la Khyenrab travelled across the water for the New Zealand Festival.
How wonderful to receive the empowerment of Vajrasattva from such a pure Teacher and to hear teachings on removing obstacles and negative karma.
The Australian Kadampa Festival this year was hosted by KMC Australia and KMC Melbourne with empowerments and teachings with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab. It was a very blessed occasion and richly rewarding time for everyone.
At last the preparations are complete. Teams of volunteers have worked hard to prepare KMC Australia, the Australian mother center, for the Australian Festival with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab. Immediately after the Festival, on January 2, Gen-la will give a public talk in Melbourne entitled Happiness, Confidence and the Power of the Mind.
KMC Australia was very fortunate to have Gen Drolkyi, the Resident Teacher of KMC Singapore visit and share the teachings from the Summer Festival.
NZ Dharma Celebration 2019 in Auckland brought the New Zealand Kadampa family together and a few welcomed overseas guests. It took place in the heart of Auckland city.
200 people gathered at KMC Australia in the Dandenong Ranges just outside Melbourne for a long weekend with a difference.. . .
