The 2019/20 Australian Kadampa Festival was hosted by KMC Australia and KMC Melbourne with the empowerments and teachings given by Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, retired Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU and National Spiritual Director of Canada.
Over 250 people gathered from all over Australia and beyond to receive the empowerment of Vajrasattva from Gen-la Khyenrab and teachings on how to purify negative karma.
The atmosphere at the Festival was joyful, friendly and very focused. Everyone was grateful for the opportunity to think more deeply about where our problems come from and how they can be prevented - and to receive the profound blessings of true inner protection.
It was a very blessed occasion and richly rewarding time for everyone.
Public Talk
As soon as the Festival was over Gen-la was invited to give a public talk in Federation Square in Melbourne. The evening was a great success with 360 people attending to learn from Gen-la about Happiness, Confidence & the Power of the Mind.
Up next
Gen-la now travels to New Zealand for the New Zealand Festival, January 10-13.
He then returns to Australia to conclude his visit to the region with two public talks on the East coast: Sydney January 19 and Brisbane Jan 22.
