"Our Choose Happiness Public Talk at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in the CBD yesterday drew smiles from a crowd of almost 380 people who came to hear Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, Retired General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU and National Spiritual Director of Canada.

"Gen-la encouraged everyone to examine the evidence that comes from their own experience, and to see that external enjoyments can't deliver the real happiness we are all looking for.

"In contrast, when we learn to control our mind, it is light and at peace and we discover a deep happiness and an ability to hold positive attitudes toward others which solves our problems.

"Gen-la concluded the morning with the powerful practice of equalising self and others to heal our minds and bring us the lasting happiness we all wish for."
