NTK Day Celebrations ~ Part 2
Apr 14, 2024
As we enter the second day of retreat and bring the first week of the Festival to a close, it is a good time to reflect on the international nature of the community of people gathered at Manjushri KMC.
After six blissful teachings from Gen-la Khyenrab of the first part of Clear Light of Bliss, today we entered into two days of retreat with Kadam Morten Clausen
Today, August 2, twenty-five years ago Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche opened and blessed the first Kadampa Temple for World Peace at Manjushri KMC.
Yesterday began with what we had all been waiting for – the teachings and transmission of Clear Light of Bliss!
Yesterday we had the great good fortune to receive the empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni from Gen-la Khyrerab, retired General Spiritual Director.
The 2022 International Summer Festival opened last night with an introductory teaching by Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang, retired Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU.
Finally, after a wait of three years we are gathering again at the mother centre to listen to and contemplate Dharma and to be together as a worldwide sangha family.
This evening at 7.30 we will enter the Temple to listen to the introductory teaching with Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang.
On Thursday July 28, the day before the Summer Festival begins, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, granted ordination to 23 new Sangha in the Kadampa Temple for World Peace at Manjushri KMC.
With just a few days until the Summer Festival begins at Manjushri KMC in the UK, enthusiastic teams of helpers, including the Teachers, are busy making the final preparations around the Festival site.
25 years ago, during the Summer Festival 1997, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche opened the first Kadampa Temple for World Peace at Manjushri KMC.
