A New Chapter Begins
At KMC France(opens in new tab) in Saint-Mars-d'Outillé, construction on the 7th Kadampa Temple for World Peace(opens in new tab)(opens in new tab) is officially underway, and the first signs of this extraordinary project are already taking shape. From the opening of the construction site to new roads, drainage, utilities, and preparations for the foundations, there is exciting progress happening on the ground. We’re delighted to share these first glimpses of the journey with you as this inspiring vision begins to become a reality!

The First Step
Site Access & Security
The first concrete step: the gate in the perimeter wall was demolished to create the new construction site entrance. Immediately afterward, security fencing was installed all around the site, marking the boundaries and securing the construction area. Temporary cabins will also be set up to serve as living quarters for the workers.

A New road
Roadwork & Earthwork
A new road has been built, running from the service gate to the future back exit of the Temple. Topsoil was excavated to stabilize the ground and was used to create new levels between the fields and prepare the planting areas on the embankments around the moat.

Utilities & Infrastructure
On the technical side, progress is being made both underground and above ground:
- Soil inspections have been conducted to confirm the feasibility of the foundations
- A new electrical system is being installed
- New drains and a drainage system have been installed
In short, this entire preparation phase lays the essential groundwork for the next step: preparing and pouring the foundations!
