Receiving Empowerments, Deepening Faith
Jun 24, 2026
Recently, more than 90 people gathered at KMC Paris for a special weekend of blessings, teachings, and meditation. Participants received the blessing empowerment of Buddha Prajnaparamita with Gen Kelsang Tonpa and enjoyed a day dedicated to the practice The Uncommon Yoga of Inconceivability.
Through the empowerment, teachings, and guided meditations, participants experienced profound inspiration and a deeper connection with wisdom and inner peace.
Many attendees spoke of the powerful impact of the weekend, describing experiences of greater concentration, inner confidence, and a deep sense of peace. It was a joyful and meaningful opportunity to receive blessings, deepen understanding, and strengthen spiritual practice together.
I have a very strong mind. And there, for the first time this weekend during the transmission of blessings, I really let go,” Eugénie says happily. “By turning my attention inwards much more, I managed to access a space within myself that I’d never encountered before. A peaceful, reassuring, safe space. It’s fleeting for now, but it’s very precious.
What really struck me this weekend,” says Antoine, “was that by Sunday I could already feel the effects of this blessing transmission. It’s like the sensation of having the wind at your back, and it carried me a long way during the retreat day. I had some really high-quality meditations, both in terms of my level of concentration and the experience itself. And the funny thing is, I was actually really worried about my practice, because I’d had a terrible night’s sleep due to the heat. And yet, even after lunch, my mind was really sharp and present, even though my physical condition wasn’t great.
Recently, KMC Colorado enjoyed a wonderful weekend dedicated to compassion, hosting its first empowerment with Western U.S. National Spiritual Director and Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Gomlam.
Participants from across Colorado, including students from the branch classes in Grand Junction, Evergreen, and Golden, gathered to receive the empowerment of Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, along with teachings on developing universal compassion. The morning meditation was kindly guided by Kerrin Perniciaro, Resident Teacher of Heruka KMC Fort Collins.
Through the empowerment, teachings, and meditations, participants deepened their connection with Avalokiteshvara and strengthened their determination to develop a compassionate heart. Inspired by these precious blessings, everyone left with renewed confidence in bringing wisdom, love, and compassion into their daily lives for the benefit of others.
Blessing empowerments were given at KMC Paris with Gen Tonpa and KMC Colorado in US with Gen Gomlam. It is only through the blessings of the Buddhas at events such as these that we are able to truly benefit others and help them discover real, lasting happiness.
