Beautiful Endings to a Beautiful Year (Part II)
As the year comes to an end, Kadampa centers around the world continue to come together to celebrate in joyful and meaningful ways. This second part shares more moments of connection, gratitude and community as we close the year with peace in our hearts.
Year-End Celebration at KMC Mexico
KMC Mexico closed the year with a joyful gathering, beginning with a talk on integrating meditation into daily life, followed by music, a festive kermés, and a warm sense of community. Participants celebrated the practical tools of Dharma that help train the mind and cultivate lasting happiness. Heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who made this special event possible.
URBAN RETREAT: CHRISTMAS WITH PEACE
The final weekend activity of the year at Bodhisattva KBC in Tarragona (Spain) was an Urban Retreat, offering inspiration from Buddha’s teachings to cultivate inner peace and share love. Participants reflected on the wisdom that “happiness is a part of the mind that experiences inner peace,” enjoying a joyful and heartwarming end to the year.
End-of-Year Puja and Festive BBQ in Canberra, Australia
Bodhisattva KBC in Canberra (Australia) closed the year with a full meditation room for Wishfulfilling Jewel with a tsog offering, followed by a joyful Canberra-style BBQ. Surrounded by homegrown treats, festive food, and the warmth of the Sangha, everyone celebrated with happiness, gratitude and goodwill, offering thanks to Venerable Geshe-la for the blessings of our Kadampa center.
MOVIE NIGHT AT KADAMPA MEDITATION CENTer AUSTRIA
At Kadampa Meditation Center Austria, we enjoyed a beautiful Movie Night in mid-December, sharing good food, meaningful conversations, and a screening of The Life of Buddha. With an introduction by Resident Teacher Kelsang Sila, the evening offered inspiration and reflection on Buddha’s life and teachings, while the shared buffet and Sangha company created a warm and joyful close to the year.
Holiday Celebration of Love and Joy at KMC Madison, US
KMC Madison hosted a heartwarming holiday dinner, where Gen Kelsang Dorje offered a Dharma talk and guided meditation before the community shared a delicious four-course vegetarian meal, joyful conversation, and even roasted s’mores.
Setting Our Intention for 2026 in tuxTla, mexico
At Menlha Kadampa Buddhist Center in Tuxtla, Mexico, the community gathered for a special talk on cultivating inner peace as a meaningful purpose for 2026, guided by Gen Kelsang Palkyong. Through practical Dharma advice, participants reflected on how to bring Buddha’s wisdom into daily life, strengthening peace of mind and positive intentions for the year ahead.

Christmas Cheer and Peaceful Hearts in Buxton, uk
At Samudra Kadampa Buddhist Centre in the UK, the community came together for a joyful Christmas celebration rooted in inner peace. After a short talk on the importance of a peaceful mind, everyone engaged in heartfelt meditation before enjoying a delicious three-course festive meal and a lively raffle. With deep gratitude to the dedicated volunteers and, above all, to our kind Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe-la, whose wisdom helps us understand the true secrets of the mind, the evening was filled with warmth, harmony and cheer.
Dinner and Secret Santa in Valladolid, SPAIN
We said goodbye to the year by celebrating the great kindness of our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, and sharing a warm and joyful evening with the Valladolid Sangha. After an end-of-year dinner, everyone enjoyed a lively Secret Santa gift exchange, a beautiful expression of generosity, appreciation and good-hearted connection. It was a heartfelt celebration filled with gratitude, joy and festive spirit.
