More than forty people attended the special public talk at KMC Berlin with Gen Kelsang Eupamé, the NKT National Spiritual Director for France and the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center France. It was a very joyful and lively talk that deeply touched and inspired all attendees.
This guest lecture on emptiness offered a deeply inspiring and accessible introduction to one of Buddhism’s most profound topics. With warmth and clarity, our visiting Teacher guided us through the meaning of emptiness—not as a void or nothingness, but as the true nature of all phenomena: their lack of inherent, independent existence.
Through practical examples and gentle reasoning, we explored how understanding emptiness can free us from the tight grip of negative emotions like anger, attachment, and fear. When we realize that the solid, unchanging world we perceive is in fact a projection of our own mind, we open the door to greater peace, compassion, and flexibility in daily life.
The evening concluded with a question-and-answer session that allowed us to reflect quietly on the insights gained. Many attendees shared how refreshing and hopeful this new perspective felt. By loosening our grasp on a fixed sense of self and others, we begin to experience a spacious mind capable of real change.
This lecture reminded us that wisdom and peace arise together, and that through understanding emptiness, we can gradually dissolve the causes of suffering at their root.
A few days ago in Barcelona, at Calle Berlín 97, Gen Kelsang Ganden gave a profound and practical public talk on attachment — how to recognize it and begin to let it go.
More than 120 people attended, enjoying the clarity and kindness with which he shared the wisdom of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
The talk was followed by a post-Festival retreat, where we explored in depth how to overcome attachment and develop a more peaceful and loving mind.
Thank you to everyone who took part — it was a meaningful and joyful experience for all!
