Rejoicing in the work of the Kadampa Art Studio
Jun 22, 2025
Thank you to all who joined us for this blessed empowerment with our Resident Teacher, Matthew Stein.
The blessings and wisdom shared in the ceremony continue to resonate. May the seeds planted in our hearts blossom into compassion, clarity, and inner peace.
Kadampa students from Greece were delighted to welcome Gen Ananda to Athens again after the Spring Festival.
Together they engaged in Melodious Drum prayers with the intention to remove obstacles for Dharma to flourish in the region. On Friday night, Gen Ananda gave a public talk on How To Solve Our Daily Problems with Loving Kindness and then guided a beautiful two-day weekend retreat based on the Festival teachings.
On June 7th, Compassion KMC retreated to St Mary’s Island, Whitley Bay, to meditate and find a deeper inner peace at high tide, separated from the mainland for 4 hours and sharing the island only with sea birds, seals, the St Mary’s Lighthouse warden and a friendly cat.
Our community gathered for a profound Vajrayogini self-initiation practice, embracing sacred rituals, deep prayers, and heartfelt offerings. Together, we renewed our spiritual commitments and rejoiced in the presence of holy beings through meditation, mantra, and prayers.
Gratitude to all who prepared, offered, and participated in the practice with such devotion. May the blessings of Vajrayogini swiftly bring us closer to full enlightenment, for the benefit of all living beings.

Breaking through our limitations: this was one of the pieces of good news that our beloved Teacher Gen Nampur shared with us last weekend during the special course at Kadampa Meditation Center Cuernavaca.
She explained to the many people who gathered how important it is to cultivate a deep understanding of oneself, and the key to this is through the practice of meditation.
Our confidence in ourselves is based on recognizing that our mind is always clear. We learned that from there, we can be whatever we want to be. There are no limitations.
Throughout Saturday afternoon, we contemplated that in Mahayana Buddhism, our goal is to improve the quality of our minds to benefit others. Improving ourselves only makes sense in order to benefit all sentient beings.
We strive to do that every day. We also learned different ways to stop the selfish intentions that consume our happiness. In this way, we generate beautiful, selfless intentions.
At Je Tsongkhapa Kadampa Buddhist Center in Pachuca, we held a mala-making workshop.
With 11 attendees, including practitioners and non-practitioners, we learned how to make a qualified Buddhist rosary, with each participant choosing the materials to create it to their liking.
We rejoiced in the merit accumulated by having started and completed the workshop and dedicated so that all sentient beings, without exception, may enjoy the attainment of the pure and permanent happiness of enlightenment.
