Read about some other recent activities organized by Kadampa centers around the world.
On Sunday, February 2, many practitioners from our Sangha at KMC Montpellier gathered to take the Mahayana Refuge Vows, guided by our Teacher, Kadam Olivier.
It was a fitting end to a month-long urban retreat.
On February 2, our Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Zopa, gave the blessing empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa. It was a wonderful, bright, snowy day!
Through the extraordinary kindness of our Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, our Sangha received the powerful blessings of Je Tsongkhapa, and experienced Buddha’s compassion, wisdom, and spiritual power in this beautiful empowerment.
We were so pleased to have Sangha join us from the northern parts of Vancouver Island, as well as Sangha from KMC Vancouver. Thank-you Geshe-la, from the depths of our hearts.

We all seek refuge in something or someone in order to be free from suffering and problems.
Maybe we turn to food, money, friends and relatives, or status. However, all these external objects of refuge can never really protect us from suffering; they may even end up being the very cause of it! Only through a stable experience of pure, peaceful minds, which comes as a result of sincere spiritual practice, can we find permanent freedom from suffering.
In this retreat we learned the various steps through which we build our own inner refuge, so that eventually we will come to experience lasting freedom from all pain.
The retreat was held at The Schoenstatt Retreat and Conference Centre.
Yesterday we gave a presentation of the book Universal Compassion at the CEART (Querétaro Arts Center), which consisted of a teaching followed by a meditation on love - Buddha's love for us, and our love for Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
Thanks to the loving guidance of our Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Chime in this course, we have understood the origin of the suffering we experience in our difficult relationships.
This course was based on the precious book Universal Compassion by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
