The blessings of Arya Tara pervading our world
Recently the blessing empowerment of Arya Tara was given at centers in different parts of the world. It is wonderful to think that Buddha Tara's blessings are reaching people everywhere, transforming the minds of living beings.
Tara empowerment and teachings were given in KMC Georgia in the US, KMC Fraser Valley in Canada and Heruka KBC, Alicante in Spain.
KMC Georgia - Atlanta, US
Many people gathered last weekend at Kadampa Meditation Center Georgia in Atlanta to enjoy the blessing empowerment of Green Tara and commentary to Liberation from Sorrow from Kelsang Dechok, our Resident Teacher. It was a joy-filled weekend, with both experienced Kadampa students and brand new visitors receiving Tara's special blessings.
On Friday night, we were inspired by an introduction to the weekend from guest Teacher Gen Norbu, Resident Teacher of KMC North Carolina. His teaching along with his guided meditation on Saturday morning prepared us to receive Green Tara's special blessings by emphasizing the three scopes of Lamrim, Atisha's special relationship with Tara, and her subsequent connection to all Kadampa practitioners.
During the empowerment and commentary, Kelsang Dechok illuminated the importance of developing deep faith in Buddha Green Tara and how she is able to provide swift help. If we turn to Tara with this mind of faith, her blessings will transform our mind and help us to make progress in our Lamrim practice and keep a happy mind in daily life. On Sunday, we engaged in two sessions of Liberation from Sorrow, immediately putting into practice this special reliance on Buddha Tara.
KMC Fraser Valley
On Sept. 8, KMC Fraser Valley hosted the tantric empowerment of Arya Tara in Aldergrove, British Columbia, Canada, with our cherished Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Delek. We received the transmission of Tara's mantra, learned about her special qualities and engaged in the tantric practice of Arya Tara. It was such an inspirational day with meditations, teachings and receiving Tara's bountiful blessings. A big thank you to Venerable Geshe-la, Gen Delek and all our volunteer helpers
Heruka KBC - Alicante
This weekend, at Heruka KBC in Alicante, 66 of us received the blessing empowerment of Green Tara from Resident Teacher Kelsang Ganden, our inspiring Teacher and example.
We laughed, we were moved... but most importantly our mental continuum received the powerful blessings of Guru Tara, giving us protection and guidance on the spiritual path. How fortunate we are!
May all beings be free from suffering!
