The power of volunteering at Festivals

First time at a Festival?
Volunteering is a great way to feel at home. During this year's Spring Festival some people at their first International Festival talked about their experience of volunteering.

If you don’t know many people you can choose to volunteer in various different areas during the event. By doing so, you not only contribute to the smooth running of the Festival but also become an integral part of it. Often the people from your local center will work together in an area, so you meet with old friends as well as new.

When you volunteer, you immediately gain a sense of belonging. Working with your team fosters camaraderie and lets you form new friendships. Whether you're helping in cafes, dining areas, kitchen or Temple your role gives numerous opportunities for social interaction.

You can volunteer anytime when you are at the Festival, or before you come by asking your local center, or by applying here.

Moreover, volunteering can also enhance your Festival experience by giving you a behind-the-scenes look at how such events are organized and run. This insider perspective can make the Festival feel more personal and meaningful. By taking on a volunteer role, you not only contribute to the Festival’s success but also enrich your own experience in ways you didn’t expect.
