During the month of May, powerful retreats were held at the Sixth Kadampa Temple for World Peace in Málaga, KMC Madrid, Tharpaland KMC and Ganden Ling KMC. A perfect preparation for the International Spring Festival.
Our National Spiritual Director, Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang, visited Switzerland from 6–15 May 2024. In 10 days she visited Kadampa centers throughout the country and held public talks in our largest cities. With her pure example and boundless energy for the inner spiritual path, she brought great energy and inspiration to all these places and met with many people from all walks of life.
In May some Kadampa Centers organized group retreats to allow their students to gain deeper experience of the powerful minds of love and compassion. Here KMC Ottawa, KMC Brisbane and Khedrubje Kadampa Buddhist Centre (Hull, UK) enjoyed away retreats.
The three International Festivals are precious opportunities to receive teachings and empowerments from the Gen-las, and this experience is greatly enhanced if we can spend some time after the Festival in retreat improving our understanding of the teachings and taking their meaning to heart. Recently, various centers have organised public talks on the power of meditation to improve mental health and happiness. These talks took place at the Welsh conference center, Venue Cymru (North Wales), in Viña del Mar (Chile), at McGill University Health Centre (Canada) and in Dresden (Germany).
In recent weeks many people had the opportunity to receive Buddha’s special blessings in KMC Brazil KMC Colombia KBC Samudra (Switzerland) KMC Cordoba (Argentina) and KBC Dromtönpa in Bern, Switzerland. In addition KBC Samudra were celebrating the opening of their new centre.
