Purification, healing, compassion, and wisdom
Each Buddha is a manifestation of a different aspect of an enlightened mind. They appear in this way to bestow blessings and help living beings with a particular aspect of their spiritual practice. In the past weeks, practitioners in Spain, Nicaragua, the US, and France received blessings to enhance their purification, healing, compassion, and wisdom practices.
Buddha Avalokiteshvara empowerment in Spain
From February 23 to 25, we had the great opportunity to receive the blessings of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. Gen Chokga, National Spiritual Director of Spain and Portugal and the Resident Teacher at KMC Spain, has granted us the empowerment of this Deity, thus creating a connection with Buddha Avalokiteshvara and opening the door for us to generate compassion in our own minds.
We concluded the weekend with a short retreat. All this was in the uplifting company of practitioners from other cities. It has been a wonderful weekend!
Buddha Vajrasattva Empowerment in Nicaragua
On February 17 and 18, Gen Kelsang Sangzin, the Resident Teacher of Bodhichitta Kadampa Buddhist Center in Nicaragua, granted the blessing empowerment of Buddha Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification. This was a profound and inspiring experience for Nicaraguans, and we pray that Buddha’s blessings will benefit everyone in our country through this. The event brought together all the center's students, seeking spiritual development. For some, it was the first empowerment of Vajrasattva!
Gen Sangzin shared precious instructions from Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso on improving our purification practice so that students understood more clearly what it means to purify their minds and were looking forward to deepening their spiritual training.
Medicine Buddha Empowerment in the US
We enjoyed Medicine Buddha empowerment at KMC Fort Lauderdale with our Resident Teacher, Gen Jindak, on Saturday, February 24. Sangha from KMC Miami and our Port St Lucie branch class joined us. Our kind volunteers cooked and served lunch outside in beautiful Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in Florida.
Buddha Vajrasattva and Green Tara in France
Gen Lhasang, Resident Teacher of KBC Menlha in Marseille, granted Vajrasattva empowerment at a beautiful and very blessed event!
The weekend of February 24-25, we received the blessing empowerment of Arya Green Tara at KMC Montpellier, followed by teachings on the Four Noble Truths. What a memorable weekend!
