Joyful and blessed events in Uruguay and Argentina
Joyful and blessed events took place recently in South America. An inauguration of the new Kadampa Center in Uruguay and a purification retreat in Argentina brought together the local community to celebrate and enjoy meditation.
The Opening of the first Center in Uruguay
Mahamudra Kadampa Buddhist Center was inaugurated in Uruguay at the beginning of February. Through our Spiritual Guide's kindness, all Uruguayans now have the opportunity to listen to, contemplate, meditate on and practice the pure teachings of Kadam Dharma.
The National Spiritual Director for Argentina and Uruguay, Gen Kelsang Rinchung, visited and shared beautiful teachings on how fortunate we are to have a spiritual life dedicated to benefiting others through the teachings of Buddha. It was a beautiful and blessed weekend where people took Kadam Dharma into their hearts.

Away Retreat on Purification in Argentina
On the last weekend of January, we had a beautiful meditation and purification retreat in Villa de Mayo organised by Nagarjuna Kadampa Buddhist Center, Buenos Aires. For three days, we focused on the practice of purification and meditation on Solitary Vajrasattva and received many teachings on karma.
The days were ideal to concentrate on this practice. We were able to rest externally, but most importantly, we rested internally. By stopping our distractions for a weekend and focusing on the practice of meditation, internal relaxation and peace naturally arose.
Thanks to Venerable Geshe-la and our dear Resident Teacher, MarÃa Eugenia Chaves, for transmitting the teachings with love and clarity.
