On June 4 2021, which was the 90th birthday of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Kadampa centers around the world joined in a special celebration of retreat and puja based on the recitation of Venerable Geshe-la's name mantra.

This gathering was the first of a new event in the Kadampa calendar that will take place every year on June 4, which is Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day.

This year, because on June 4 Gen-la Dekyong and many of the managers and students at Manjushri KMC will be closely involved in the finishing of the new Temple and preparations for the  Spring Festival, the offering of faith at Manjushri KMC will take place earlier on NKT Day.
