Spanish Dharma Celebration 2024
Dec 13, 2024
Last night, Gen Thekchen opened the 2021 Summer Festival online with an inspiring introductory teaching setting the scene for this extraordinary event. And today, Gen-la Dekyong will grant the empowerment of Dorje Shugden. How wonderful!
Through the great kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the Founder of these Festivals, for the very first time the Summer Festival will be hosted and broadcast from multiple locations around the world simultaneously.
Just days away from the 2021 Summer Festival, centers around the world are busy preparing to host people who will come together to join the Festival at their location. Are you ready? If you haven’t already done so book now.
Although only a few people are able to attend the Festival directly at Manjushri KMC, many centers around the world will be holding ‘mini festivals’ open to the public, where you can safely watch a broadcast of the Festival, often with live translation, as well as join with the Kadampa family for meditations, discussion and much more. This is the first time an International Festival will be hosted at a number of different locations.
The Festival Shop is now open. Here is a list of the books and prayers that will be used during the Summer Festival all of which can be purchased from the Festival Shop.
In this post we feature especially the group of US Teachers gathered at IKRC Grand Canyon, the largest group outside of Manjushri KMC. Some great photos, and two very inspiring videos they made!
There is so much that is special about this year’s Festival, and so much to look forward to. And because it is our first ever live online Festival there is great benefit in booking now.
The Intensive Teacher Training Program is called ‘intensive’ for a reason. For three weeks, the Teachers follow a rigorous 6-day a week schedule of teachings, teaching skills, discussion, memorisation and prayers. Venerable Geshe-la has designed this special program to give Resident Teachers from the centers around the world the opportunity to engage in intensive in-service training.
The International Summer Festival 2021 will be presented by the two most senior Teachers in NKT – Gen-la Dekyong, the General Spiritual Director, and Gen-la Jampa, the Deputy Spiritual Director. In addition, there will be six other Teachers helping to present the Festival:
The development of the new Temple for World Peace in Málaga, Spain, depends upon the invaluable contribution made by volunteers helping out at the Kadampa Art Studio in the UK. There are always openings for people who want to join this team as a volunteer visitor.
