Mexico Dharma Celebration
Nov 28, 2024
15 December 2020
The Asian Kadampa Festival 2020 will be held online December 18-21.
Throughout Asia people are busy with the preparations. At KMC Hong Kong, a beautiful shrine is being prepared and the teachings are being translated into Cantonese. Elsewhere, in Bejing, Shanghai and Australia, Kadampas are busy preparing translations in Mandarin and Vietnamese.
Gen Tonglam is preparing the retreat sessions in three languages (English, Cantonese and Mandarin). Meanwhile, in Manila, the Resident Teacher Kadam Jun Miranda will be leading the meditations, and in Singapore a special tsog puja will be recorded. for the Festival.
And of course the team at KMC Edinburgh, where Gen-la is the Resident Teacher, have created a special shrine and produced yet another beautiful recording of Gen-la's teachings.
Hundreds of people are expected to attend. There is still plenty of time to register and join the Asian Kadampa family for this wonderful online event.
During this festival, Gen-la Kunsang, retired Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT, will grant the blessing empowerment of Avalokiteshvara, who is the manifestation of the compassion of all the Buddhas. By receiving his powerful and inspiring blessings, we can experience deep inner peace and ripen and develop our compassionate potentials.
After granting the empowerment, Gen-la Kunsang will give us the supreme and unique instructions of Kadam Dharma, showing us how it completely depends on joyous effort to generate compassion for others, which makes our minds pure, peaceful and happy all the time. It gives us tremendous energy to benefit others and fulfil our wishes easily.
“A very special, meaningful holiday learning how to find happiness from within your own mind through concentrating on spiritual practice.”
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
