Welcome to the 2020 Summer Festival Pre-Festival Diaries

The Summer Festival 2020 Online is unique in many ways.

Among other things it is the first International Festival presented from multiple locations.

It is a measure of the breadth of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche's vision and the sophistication of the International Kadampa Buddhist Union he has created that we can listen to teachings given in one location, join in meditations guided at another and finish with a retreat led at yet another.

Tara and Kadam Lamrim
In Week 2, for example, we will receive the empowerment of Green Tara and listen to teachings on Kadam Lamrim from Gen-la Kelsang Jampa at the magnificent Temple for World Peace at IKRC Grand Canyon in Arizona. In between teachings we will join in meditations guided by Gen Rabten at Manjushri KMC and then finish with a retreat led by Kadam Morten at KMC New York City!

Amitayus and loving kindness
But before that we will have a whole week in the first Kadampa Temple for World Peace at Manjushri KMC with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong to receive the life empowerment of Buddha Amitayus and teachings on the Buddhist way of loving kindness, And enjoy more meditations with Gen Rabten and a wonderful retreat iwth Gen Losang!

A whole month of sessions
All this brought seamlessly to our homes from the Festival webpage and remaining online for a whole month for us to enjoy! Where is there good fortune such as this!
