Offering our Faith | Celebrations 2026 ~ Part 2
Jun 10, 2026
In 2000 Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche granted a Buddha Vajrasattva empowerment at the International Summer Festival.
At that time he was offered a full-size Vajrasattva statue which he in turn offered to KMC Germany for auspiciousness.
This precious statue was with the Berlin Kadampa Centre in various locations for 13 years as a sacred object of worship for the sangha community.
Then in 2013 the statue was moved to Sintra where it was beautifully restored for the Temple for World Peace Portugal and remains in the Temple shrine.
On June 27-28, Germany's National Spiritual Director, Gen Ananda, will grant the empowerment of Buddha Vajrasattva and teachings on purification, which will be streamed online from KMC Germany in Berlin.
In the preface of the sadhana Meditation and Recitation of Solitary Vajrasattva, Venerable Geshe-la says:
We have been accumulating non-virtuous actions and experiencing their suffering results since beginningless time; but now we have an opportunity to purify them completely. We should make use of this precious opportunity to purify our negative karma.

Part 2: On Dharmachakra Day, we celebrate Buddha’s first turning of the Wheel of Dharma and the birthday of our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. Here we share how Kadampa communities around the world rejoiced in these two special celebrations as one.
