Listening to Gen-la Dekyong's teachings this weekend at Manjushri KMC it is easy to see how she is perfectly qualified to be the General Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU.

Her reliance upon her Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, is exemplary, and because of this listening to her teach we feel as if we are listening to Venerable Geshe-la himself teaching through her.

When she reads from Venerable Geshe-la's books we can see that through years of study, contemplation and meditation  with the profound blessings of her Spiritual Guide she has taken the meaning deep into her heart and joyfully shares this experience with us.

And with delight she shares priceless insights she has received directly from Venerable Geshe-la. At one point she joked that the most important thing she had learned from her conventional education was the ability to write quickly! So when she reads her notes from conversations with Venerable Geshe-la they are so comprehensive and precise it is like listening to Venerable Geshe-la himself.

In so many ways she is a precious gateway through which we can meet Venerable Geshe-la. We are so fortunate to have such a sincere and qualified Spiritual Director.
