The mirror of Dharma & the face of Buddha

Last week people at KMC Florida enjoyed a wonderful post-festival retreat and art workshop. Here is their feedback:

"What a wonderful five-day retreat we had at KMC Florida with Kadam Bridget Heyes, National Spiritual Director of the UK and the Resident Teacher of Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre. Her positive and impactful advice, based on the book The Mirror of Dharma with Additions by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyato Rinpoche, taught us that through contemplating and meditating on Buddha's teachings, we can develop the happy mind and world we wish for. After the retreat, everyone felt a deep appreciation for the profound teachings given at the Fall Festival.

"To finish our special event, Kadam Chris Heyes, the Resident Teacher of Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre in Leicester, and internationally renowned NKT Buddhist artist, taught a day art workshop on how to draw the face of Buddha. The students started the day wanting to learn the techniques of drawing Buddha's face correctly and they left with deep knowledge of Buddha's features and abilities, and how engaging in this type of action creates positive imprints on our mind."
