This weekend KMC Hong Kong hosted the East Asian Dharma Celebration.

Over 230 people from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and the Philippines gathered at KMC HK to receive the blessing empowerment of Buddha Amitayus and commentary to The Yoga of Buddha Amitayus from Gen Kelsang Tonglam, the National Spiritual Director of the NKT-IKBU for East Asia.

Gen Tonglam gave inspiring teachings on going for refuge to the Three Jewels and emptiness and guided the self-generation and mantra recitation practices in the retreat.

All the prayers were chanted in Mandarin, including, the first time, the Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples prayer. See bottom of page for the audio recording of this amazing prayer.

It was such an auspicious event!

'I had a wonderful time. The teaching was simple and basic yet practical and profound. Simply by cultivating the mind of refuge, I can fulfill my temporary and ultimate wishes. I can start right now and live a meaningful life.'

'It was a very blessed weekend. Buddha Amitayus is such a special empowerment and I felt the blessings deeply. The teachings Gen Tonglam gave were inspiring and can be applied to my other practices as well. The teachings were simple, yet profound and will make a huge difference in my practice. It was wonderful to see many new faces from all around Asia for the EADC.'

'This Buddha Amitayus empowerment and retreat helped me to develop faith in the Three Jewels and gained further understanding on the Buddhist view, intention and practices. Gen Tonglam's teaching is very direct and insightful.'

'I was really touched by the Mandarin chanting. I can read the Chinese sadhana and chant the prayers in my local language. Thank you to Venerable Geshe-la for his immeasurable kindness.'
