KMC London’s Temple in Morden was packed this weekend for the Southern Dharma Celebration with Kadam Bridget Heyes, the NKT-IKBU National Spiritual Director for the UK.

Kadam Bridget granted the empowerment of the female Buddha, Arya Tara and gave practical teachings on how to develop and increase our wisdom and compassion.

As can be seen from the photos and quotes, it was a deeply meaningful and joyful occasion that touched the hearts of many.

‘I loved it. The teaching was awesome, really going to make a difference. For my first empowerment it couldn't have been better. I loved Tara before, now feel I have met her personally.  I felt part of a real sangha family for the first time.’

‘The SDC at KMC London reminded us how fortunate we are to take refuge in the Three Jewels, empowered us to depend on Arya Tara the swift protector, and was an inspiring weekend full of beautiful teachings, meditation and connecting with our Sangha.’

‘This Celebration is the heart of the NKT - coming together to support each other and progress along spiritual paths with practical wisdom teachings completely relevant to our everyday lives.’

‘I feel what Gen Gomchen mentioned in the introduction on developing faith in Buddha, Dharma and Sangha is very important. May everyone have a joyful path!’

‘I understand how embracing the impermanence of life helps us let go and gives us freedom. And how compassion is the key to world peace and self cherishing the source of all our suffering.’

‘It felt like a coming together as a real family. You realise the deep connections you have when you reunite with sangha friends.’

‘It feels like coming home.’
