Purifying with Buddha Vajrasattva ~ A Perfect Way to End the Year
Jan 2, 2025
This weekend, Kadampas around the world celebrated International Temples Day with joyful gatherings.
In particular we reflected on the extraordinary auspicious deeds of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche to facilitate the growth and development of Kadampa Buddhism throughout the world.
On this day we celebrate the work of the International Temples Project inaugurated by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche to facilitate the growth and development of Kadampa Buddhism throughout the world.
Today, August 2, twenty-five years ago Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche opened and blessed the first Kadampa Temple for World Peace at Manjushri KMC.
On Friday July 8th, KMC Spain received an official visit from the mayor of Alhaurín el Grande, Mrs. Toñi Ledesma, members of the government team and Alhaurinas associations.
In the next few days, all the artwork in the Temple will be completed and all the holy objects installed in the shrine.
As June 10, the day of the Temple opening approaches, the artists and others are putting the finishing touches on the interior of the Temple.
The two stupas for the shine in the Temple at Málaga were the last two major componenets completed at the Kadampa Art Studio at Manjushri KMC. They are already in Málaga waiting to be installed in the shrine.
Watch as the gilded fringes and golden auspicious symbols are installed on the outer wall of the Temple.
As we count down the final weeks before the new Temple in Málaga opens and the 2022 Spring Festival begins, we follow the work of all the kind artists, builders and volunteers who are making everything ready for us.
Just as the work on the copper roof nears completion, the 37 golden vajras are placed atop the Temple and the doorways are made ready for the deer and Dharma wheels to be placed in position. Watch this video and discover how important the opening of the Temple will be.
