There are two traditions of Mahamudra

The common tradition of mahamudra focus on the navel to gather the wind to enter the centre channel and cause the drops in the centre channel to melt, at the navel to gather the wind into centre channel, generate the mind of clear light;
The uncommon lineage of mahamudra, also called the close lineage, we meditate on the heart, bring the wind enter the centre channel at the heart chakra.
