Away retreat: Silence, harmony and profound peace
When they have the opportunity Kadampa centers organise group retreats to allow their students the chance to enjoy more in-depth meditation. Here KMC Los Angeles, KMC San Francisco , KMC Hong Kong and the Kadampa Buddhist Center of Huelva (Spain) enjoyed a variety of retreats.
The path to connect with Buddha - retreat at IKRC Grand Canyon
This past weekend, Kadampa Meditation Center Los Angeles and San Francisco joined together for another away retreat at IKRC Grand Canyon. Gen Choma and Gen Rigpa led this retreat and gave commentary to one of our most precious prayers, the Liberating Prayer. This prayer was given to us by our Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe-la and is recited by Kadampa Buddhists throughout the world at the beginning of every teaching and meditation session.
For Buddhists, faith in Buddha Shakyamuni is their spiritual life; it is the root of all Dharma realizations. What better way to connect to Buddha than through contemplating the profound meaning of this prayer together with fellow Kadampas in this extraordinary World Peace Temple. It was not difficult to believe that we are constantly receiving Buddha’s blessings and kindness.

THE DANCE OF IMPERMANENCE AND EMPTINESS - KMC HONG KONG
Well done everyone for completing the 6 teaching classes and the subsequent silent meditation retreat on The Dance of Impermanence and Emptiness.
A heartfelt thank you to Venerable Geshe-la for giving us such a practical explanation of this profound topic and to Gen Tonglam for guiding us so patiently with very clear instructions.

CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY at the sixth Kadampa temple for world peace
Kadampa Buddhist Center Avalokiteshvara from Huelva (Spain) once again offered its annual retreat at the sixth Kadampa Temple for World Peace in AlhaurÃn el Grande, Málaga. The Teacher was Gen Kelsang Sherab who guided us along the paths of renunciation, bodhicitta and the correct view of emptiness - the actual door to liberation from suffering.
