Kadampa centers around the world have arranged special events over the holiday period. Here is a small selection.

Earlier this year a group of fortunate Kadampa students joined Gen-la Khyenrab at Manjushri KMC to train for six months on the Intensive Teacher Training Program . We caught up with a few of them who are now teaching at centers around the world as Resident Teachers or auxiliary Teachers.

Today, International Temples Day, we celebrate in particular the work of the ITP in making the precious books of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche available throughout the world.

Sunday, the eighth day of the month is Tara Day. On this day we recite Liberation from Sorrow, Prayers and Requests to the 21 Taras and deeply request the Blessed Mother to bestow her blessings on all living beings so that all sickness and other obstacles are quickly removed.

January retreat season is fast approaching and today we begin a round up of upcoming retreats. Here we feature two six-week mountain retreats, one at IKRC Grand Canyon with Gen-la Jampa and one at Kailash IRC with Gen Devi.

The sixth Kadampa Temple for World Peace is presently under construction in Malaga Spain. All the statues and all the adornments for this and other Temples are made at the Kadampa Art Studio at the mother center, Manjushri KMC, in the UK. There are now a number of openings for volunteer visitors to help with preparations for the Malaga Temple.

Friday, October 16, is Work a Day for World Peace Day, during which people all over the world will dedicate a day’s wages or whatever is a comfortable amount to help with the work of the International Temples Project. This year construction of the Sixth Temple for World Peace begins. The team has already started on the ground work and on Friday we wil be showing the first video from the new series TempleWatch Málaga!
