Following the Fall Festival in Malaga, Kadampas gathered at KMC Madrid La Sierra and Madhyamaka KMC for special retreats filled with inspiring teachings, meditation, and the joy of practicing Dharma together. Meanwhile, at KMC Granada, the community came together to celebrate Je Tsongkhapa Day.
Kadampa Sangha came together to deepen their practice of training the mind. Three Southern California centers joined an away retreat at IKRC Grand Canyon on integrating the five forces, while in Nottingham a packed room enjoyed Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab’s day course on controlling the mind.
Across our international Kadampa family, Je Tsongkhapa Day has been a beautiful occasion for rejoicing, deepening our faith, and coming together in practice. From heartfelt offerings and inspiring teachings in KMC Spain to special retreats in Colombia and Brazil.
After this year’s International Fall Festival, Kadampa centers across Europe held post-festival retreats to carry its inspiration into daily life. At KMC Alicante, Kailash IRC and KMC Toulouse, participants enjoyed clear teachings, peaceful stillness and warm Sangha connections. They left grateful for Geshe Kelsang Gyatso’s kindness.

On this day, 25th October, we celebrate the life and deeds of the great Buddhist Master Je Tsongkhapa, the founder of new Kadampa Buddhism. We remember Je Tsongkhapa’s great kindness and dedicate all our virtuous actions so that his Dharma will flourish throughout the world and provide many living beings with the opportunity to attain liberation and full enlightenment.

Following the Fall Festival, visitors gathered in Granada to explore the historic convent that is being transformed into a new Kadampa Dharma Center and hear Gen-la Dekyong share the inspiring vision behind this special place.
It’s the final day of the Festival, which finishes with two calm and focused retreat sessions enabling us to consolidate all we have received at this rich feast of Dharma.
Every International Festival concludes with retreat and it is incredibly powerful to meditate in the collective stillness and concentration of a thousand people and in such a blessed setting. Gen Lochani guides a beautiful retreat, clearly structured to give everyone time to deepen their faith and engage in the requests contained within the Migtsema prayer according to Highest Yoga Tantra.
