UK Dharma Celebration 2026
This year, UK Dharma Celebration took place over a sunny long weekend at the beautiful Nagarjuna Kadampa Meditation Centre in England with Kadam Bridget Heyes, the UK National Spiritual Director.

Immersing Ourselves in Emptiness
Set among 16th-century architecture, peaceful gardens and lakes, Nagarjuna KMC(opens in new tab) offered a beautiful and tranquil setting for this special gathering.
The weekend began with Gen Norden encouraging everyone to appreciate and rejoice in the UK community of Kadampa Centres and practitioners, followed by a teaching on love.
Empowerment with Kadam Bridget Heyes
Sublime empowerment of Prajnaparamita
On Saturday, Kadam Bridget Heyes, the UK National Spiritual Director, granted the sublime empowerment of Great Mother Prajnaparamita, helping everyone to ripen their wisdom potential and receive her blessings in their hearts.
Over four sessions, she gave an inspiring explanation of the Essence of Wisdom Sutra, showing how relying on the Great Mother and engaging in this practice can help us reduce ignorance while developing compassion, concentration and wisdom.
Drawing on many precious teachings from Venerable Geshe-la, Kadam Bridget made these profound teachings accessible, practical and relevant to our daily lives.
The Retreat
Bringing the Teachings into Meditation
Gen Cho guided a series of peaceful meditations based on the teachings, gently helping everyone to find and hold clear and powerful meditation objects. Each day concluded with chanted prayers and offerings.
Together as Sangha
A Precious Spiritual Community
An integral part of these special weekends is the opportunity to spend time with Sangha friends, both old and new — connecting, sharing Dharma, walking, talking and working together with joy.
