Post Summer Festival Retreats
Part 3

From the joyful community of KMC Madrid to the peaceful setting of KMC Barcelona, surrounded by the mountains of Montserrat, two Post-Festival retreats held in Spain offered precious opportunities to deepen the experience of Dharma.

Dharma Experience

Two Beautifully Guided Retreats in Spain

Through meditation, inspiring teachings, and profound practices of love, compassion, and Vajrayana, participants discovered new ways to transform daily challenges, make the teachings more personal, and carry the inspiration of the Festival into their everyday lives.

30 Years of Kadampa Buddhism in Madrid

Our Hearts Are Filled With Gratitude

Following the International Summer Festival, more than 80 people gathered at KMC Madrid(opens in new tab) La Sierra for a very special Post-Festival Retreat with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, deepening their experience of the profound teachings on Highest Yoga Tantra.

For us in Madrid, this retreat was an especially precious gift. As we celebrate 30 years of Kadampa Buddhism in Madrid, having Gen-la Khyenrab with us to guide us in the practice of Heruka felt like a wonderful blessing from our Spiritual Guide.

Over these beautiful days, we had the opportunity to deepen our experience of The New Essence of Vajrayana, engaging in the practices of self-generation as Heruka and Vajrayogini and learning how to bring these profound teachings deep into our hearts.

The retreat was filled with inspiring teachings, meditation, and the joyful company of our spiritual friends. More than simply continuing the experience of the Festival, these days gave us the precious opportunity to make the teachings more personal and meaningful and to carry their inspiration into our daily lives.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have received these profound instructions and to have shared this special time together as a Kadampa family.

Our hearts are filled with gratitude to Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab for his kindness, wisdom, and inspiring example, and above all to our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, whose immeasurable kindness makes these precious opportunities possible.

What extraordinary good fortune to celebrate 30 years of Kadam Dharma in Madrid in this way — gathering together, receiving profound teachings and putting them into practice.

May the blessings of Heruka continue to inspire us to deepen our practice, transform our minds and become ever more qualified to benefit all living beings.

With immense gratitude to our precious Guru.

The Path to Lasting Happiness

Joyful and Swift Path to Enlightenment

Right after the International Summer Festival, the KMC Barcelona Sangha gathered for an inspiring Post-Festival retreat guided by Gen Kelsang Rabten: “A Practical Path to Lasting Happiness.”

Set at KMC Barcelona(opens in new tab), amidst the quiet beauty of the Montserrat mountains, the retreat provided the perfect environment to step away from the noise of daily life and integrate profound teachings into our hearts. Gen Rabten offered clear and practical explanations on how to enter and progress along this joyful and swift path to enlightenment—the ultimate purpose of our human life.

With his characteristic warmth, energy, and clarity, Gen Rabten guided insightful meditations and shared practical teachings designed to turn spiritual wisdom into everyday strength.

A huge thank you to Gen Rabten for giving us the practical tools and inspiration to bring Dharma into our daily lives.
