Spring Festival 2026 Day 6
May 27, 2026
In a historic first for the Canadian Sangha, KMC Canada in Toronto hosted a National Teaching Skills Weekend that brought together nearly 200 practitioners from coast to coast — joining both in person and online across multiple time zones — united by a shared wish to see the Dharma of the Ganden Oral Lineage flourish throughout the country.
THE POWER AND AUSPICIOUSNESS OF THIS EXTRAORDINARY EVENT
Amongst the participants were Resident Teachers, branch Teachers, Teacher Training Program and Foundation Program students, and those with a heartfelt wish to learn more about sharing Dharma with others. The weekend was led with great generosity by three senior Resident Teachers of Canadian centers: Gen Chodor, Gen Chögyan and Gen Thekchen, who offered a vast banquet of profound and practical teachings drawn from their many decades of experience as Dharma teachers.
Thanks to the boundless kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and the heartfelt dedication of Dharma practitioners in Rosario and throughout Argentina, a beautiful new Kadampa space has opened its doors in the city of Rosario — a home for peace and wisdom, open to all.
FIRST STEPS: CREATING THE NEW SPACE
During an Open House weekend, the emerging Dharma community of Rosario came together to meditate, offer prayers, and share in the joy of this auspicious beginning, guided by Kelsang Panchen. Neighbors from around the area — close to the banks of the Paraná River — warmly welcomed the new center, many of them arriving to discover meditation for the very first time.
THE FIRST OPEN DOORS WEEKEND
A FIRST-EVER GREEN TARA PRAYERS RETREAT
A talk and a retreat exploring the wisdom of Green Tara and the prayers Liberation from Sorrow allowed practitioners and newcomers alike to meet Arya Tara and experience the peace that Kadam Dharma offers
It was a truly joyful occasion — a small but radiant oasis of peace blossoming in the heart of Rosario, and a testament to what is possible when a community comes together with sincere Dharma intention.
The Sangha of KMC Nottingham is delighted to share some truly special news. After a remarkable collective effort by volunteers from Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre and the dedicated community of KMC Nottingham, beautiful new statues have arrived and are now in place in the shrine cabinet — a deeply meaningful and joyful milestone for the center.
THE ARRIVAL OF THE STATUES FROM MANJUSHRI KMC
The statues were installed just in time for a half-day course on Developing Inner Strength and Resilience, offering many students the precious opportunity to see them for the very first time. The day concluded with Wishfulfilling Jewel prayers with tsog offerings to bless the statues — a truly auspicious and heartfelt way to welcome these new objects of refuge into the center.
THE INSTALLATION OF THE STATUES IN THE SHRINE
A BEAUTIFUL AND MAGNIFICENT NEW SHRINE
The Sangha of KMC Nottingham is deeply grateful to Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and to everyone who gave their time and energy to make this possible.
The temple is full of dedicated practitioners from around the world meditating in two final sessions on deepening our mind of compassion until it transforms into the compassion of a Buddha. In this way we awaken our Buddha nature - wishing to attain Enlightenment for all living beings.
