A Wonderful Start to the New Term
It’s been a joyful and inspiring start to the new term at Compassion KMC and Maitreya KBC in the UK, and at KMC Valladolid in Spain. From uplifting teachings and practical advice for everyday life, to connecting with the local community and welcoming new faces, it’s wonderful to see these three Centers sharing the benefits of meditation, wisdom and a peaceful mind in their communities.

A Special Weekend Course
Letting Go of Worry and Living More Lightly
We were delighted to welcome Gen Kelsang Chokga, our beloved National Spiritual Director of Spain and Portugal, for a special weekend together at KMC Valladolid.(opens in new tab)
Throughout the weekend, she shared practical wisdom for letting go of worry and learning to live with greater lightness and peace. As she reminded us: 'If something can be remedied, why be unhappy about it? And if there is no remedy for it, there is still no point in being unhappy'
It was a joyful and meaningful weekend, giving everyone the opportunity to step back from everyday concerns, gain a fresh perspective, and discover more peaceful ways of approaching life.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this special event possible, and especially to Gen Kelsang Chokga for sharing her wisdom, kindness, and practical guidance with us. We are very grateful for the time she spent with us and for all the inspiration she brought to the weekend.

Launching Our New Autumn Term!
Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre(opens in new tab), UK were delighted to welcome our guest Teacher, Gen Kelsang Chogma from Atisha Kadampa Meditation Centre(opens in new tab), UK to launch our Autumn term with a joyful and inspiring teaching.
Around 50 people joined the course, Stop Worrying, Start Living, where Gen Chogma shared her experience of using Dharma to recognize the difference between our outer and inner problems. Her practical and heartfelt advice offered everyone a fresh perspective on how we can respond to life’s challenges with a more peaceful and positive mind.
For those new to meditation, it was a great introduction to how meditation can help us relax, strengthen our mind and approach life’s events with greater peace and happiness.
Gen Chogma also gave a morning teaching on how to begin a daily Highest Yoga Tantra practice, following the profound teachings given at the 2026 Summer Festival.
It was a wonderful way to begin the new term — with inspiring teachings, practical tools for daily life and a joyful community coming together to learn and meditate.

Health & Wellbeing Market
Connecting to the local Community
A lovely sunny day was spent on the seafront at the Town Council Health and Wellbeing Market for Bexhill Day.
The Resident Teacher of Maitreya KBC(opens in new tab), Gen Kelsang Rak-ma, along with members and friends, enjoyed meeting the Bexhill Mayor, chatting with passers-by and, of course, saying hello to lots of lovely dogs! There were peanut butter treats for the four-legged visitors and vegan sugar jellies for the humans, as well as plenty of information about our classes and workshops to share.
We’re looking forward to another full timetable of Dharma this term, welcoming both regular attendees and those coming along for the first time.
