More than 200 people gathered at KMC Los Angeles to bid a heartfelt farewell to Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of the NKT-IKBU, and to receive his final teaching as Resident Teacher of this beloved center.
In a deeply moving and memorable session, Gen-la Jampa reminded the Sangha that the true source of happiness is never found outside — it lies within our own mind. He also shared a commentary from Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong on one of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche's most cherished teachings, embodied in the two words at the heart of every Kadampa center: "Everyone welcome." These simple words carry a profound meaning — the understanding that every living being, regardless of background, beliefs, or current state of mind, possesses Buddha nature and therefore belongs.
A beautiful and deeply meaningful occasion, and a heartfelt send-off for a Teacher who has touched so many lives in Los Angeles with his sincerity, warmth, and loving-kindness.
The Florida Dharma Celebration, held annually at the Kadampa Temple for World Peace in Sarasota, New Kadampa Tradition welcomed over 170 practitioners for a truly inspiring weekend of teachings and practice, guided by Kadam Morten Clausen, Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the NKT-IKBU.
Through powerful teachings on the transformative practice of purification, Kadam Morten illuminated how, by engaging with our pure potential, we move ever closer to the state of enlightenment — and how the deep inner freedom this brings reveals that the true source of happiness was never to be found outside, but always within our own mind. The KMC Florida Sangha is grateful to Kadam Morten for sharing these liberating teachings with such clarity and warmth.
Last weekend marked a very special occasion at Kadampa Meditation Center Austria, as the center celebrated its 25th anniversary.
The local Sangha, together with friends and visitors, gathered to rejoice in this meaningful milestone. The event began with a public talk by Resident Teacher Kelsang Sila on the Kadampa way of life. In her talk, she explained the importance of Kadampa centers and how they bring great benefit to all living beings.
Afterward, everyone enjoyed celebrating together with delicious food and birthday cake, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere filled with appreciation and connection.
With deep gratitude, the community reflected on the kindness of all those who have worked so dedicatedly over the past 25 years to establish and sustain Kadam Dharma in Austria since 2001. In particular, they expressed their heartfelt thanks to Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for making this center possible and for offering such a clear and accessible spiritual path for the modern world.
