Post Spring Festival retreats in Spain

At the end of December at KMC Tampa Bay we had an inspiring class, with more than 80 students attending both in person and online. Afterwards, we enjoyed a lovely gathering with our Sangha. Kadam Morten stayed to socialize after the class, and everyone appreciated the opportunity to meet him.
From December 26th–30th, practitioners gathered at KMC New York for a retreat on Spiritual Vitality and Long Life. Resident Teacher Gen Samten opened the retreat by granting the empowerment of Amitayus, the Buddha of long life, merit, and wisdom.
In the subsequent sessions, Gen Samten offered helpful instruction on using the tools of visualization and imagination to enhance our meditations, as well as guidance on how to integrate the practice of Buddha Amitayus into our daily lives.
Kadam Kyle led the morning meditation sessions, addressing obstacles we may encounter in our emptiness meditations and offering practical advice on how to overcome them.
What a joyful and heartfelt evening we shared together at KMC Arizona. Surrounded by beautiful offerings, sincere prayers, and the warmth of our community, we gathered to celebrate New Year's Eve with Amitayus prayers for long life, and make dedications with gratitude and deep appreciation.
From the peaceful stillness of the shrine room to the laughter, conversation and shared food afterward, the evening was filled with connection, kindness and rejoicing in virtuous intention.
These moments remind us how precious our spiritual community is and how powerful it is when we come together with a shared purpose. Thank you to everyone who helped organize, attend, offer, cook, and contribute in any way. May all the positive energy created here ripen into long life, good health and the flourishing of Dharma for all.
Deepening our practice with three inspiring Post-Festival retreats in Spain: Gen-la Jampa in Barcelona, Gen-la Kunsang in Madrid and Gen Pandita in Granada.
