LAST EMPOWERMENTS OF THE YEAR Were IN CANADA AND SOUTH AFRICA

Celebrating the last empowerments of 2025, Kadampa communities in Canada and South Africa received precious blessings and participated in meaningful purification practices. These end‑of‑year events deepened Dharma connection and joy as the year draws to a close.

Manjushri Empowerment and Retreat at KMC Durban

What a beautiful and deeply moving weekend at KMC Durban. Receiving the empowerment of Buddha Manjushri, the Buddha of Wisdom, from Gen Jampel was both powerful and gentle. The wisdom blessings touched something very deep in all of us, dissolving our confusion and opening space for a view of enlightenment.

At the same time, there was so much joy in simply being together — a community gathered with warm hearts, shared intention and an opportunity to engage in something profoundly meaningful.

Moments of stillness, moments of connection, and a feeling of being uplifted together by our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe-la. We are so grateful for these precious teachings, the opportunity to do retreat, the special blessings received, and the warmth of Sangha. Thank you, Geshe-la.

May wisdom continue to grow in our hearts and in our world.

VAJRASATTVA EMPOWERMENT AND PURIFICATION RETREAT IN QUEBEC

The KMC Quebec community had the precious opportunity to receive Vajrasattva empowerment from their Resident Teacher, Marie-Claude Martel. In the days leading up to the event, the center came together with great joy to prepare every detail, creating the causes to purify negative karma and accumulate merit. When the special day arrived, nearly 50 people gathered to receive powerful blessings from Buddha Vajrasattva, along with clear and practical teachings on the four opponent powers and the practice of Meditation and Recitation of Solitary Vajrasattva.

This meaningful experience continued with a three-day unguided purification retreat, allowing participants to deepen their practice in a peaceful and focused way. Heartfelt thanks go to all the participants, organizers and volunteers, to Marie-Claude for her guidance, and above all, to our most kind Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, whose compassion makes these precious opportunities possible.
