Spring Festival 2026 ~ Festival Review
May 31, 2026
This weekend, Manjushri KMC was filled with warmth and joy as our community came together to celebrate Christmas.
The evening began with Wishfulfilling Jewel puja with tsog, with Gen-la Dekyong in the Temple. We then shared a bountiful party buffet together, which many people had worked together to create. Gen-la Dekyong joined us, making the evening truly memorable for all. Her presence made the prayers especially meaningful and touched everyone who joined.
Earlier in the day, the dining room and corridors were beautifully decorated, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere. The evening brought everyone together, offering an opportunity to connect, share gratitude, and celebrate as a spiritual family.
This year, KMC Tampa Bay enjoyed a fun and festive holiday party. The white elephant gift exchange and potluck provided plenty of laughter and joyful moments together.
The day was bright and beautiful in Florida. Earlier that Sunday, our Meditations for World Peace class focused on The Mirror of Dharma. After the class we all enjoyed delicious food and desserts, letting go of holiday stress and traffic to fully delight in the Sangha and the wonderful weather.
On Saturday, December 6th, we were delighted to welcome many participants to our Christmas half-day course and three-course Thai meal at Odiyana Kadampa Meditation Centre.
During the course, we explored how to work with unrealistic expectations and cultivate peace and clarity of mind, giving us practical tools to prepare for the often challenging holiday season. The event was attended by newcomers to Dharma as well as regular Sangha members, and it was wonderful to see the community come together to create such a special and memorable day for everyone.
The conclusion of the 2026 Spring Festival offers us an opportunity to reflect on this truly inspiring event.
