Kadampa Teachers travel to different parts of the world

Celebrating the journeys of Kadampa Teachers around the world—bringing the Dharma from major centers to local communities, fostering peace, wisdom and connection across continents. Here, we present events in San Francisco & Colorado(US), Kensington & Newcastle(UK).

A Weekend of Wisdom and Inspiration with Gen Rabten in California

Recently, KMC San Francisco had the great good fortune to host Gen Kelsang Rabten for a special weekend of teachings and meditations. The weekend began with a public talk on Happiness, followed by a Saturday workshop based on Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully.

Visitors came from near and far, including friends from Mahakaruna KBC in Petaluma, and even from the Netherlands and New Zealand, to share in this precious opportunity to receive teachings and meditate together.

Following the weekend, the center began a new series, The Four Keys to Happiness, continuing the inspiration generated by Gen Rabten’s visit.

We deeply thank Gen Rabten for his kindness in teaching in California for the first time, as well as all the volunteers who made this event possible. May the inspiration from these teachings continue to flourish and bring happiness to many.

Kensington Meditation Space Welcomes Kelsang Sama for a Transformative Weekend of Teachings

The Kensington Meditation Space at Kadampa Meditation Centre London was brimming with over 50 attendees across Friday evening and Saturday morning for The Glow-Up that Starts Within - a talk and course led by guest Teacher Kelsang Sama from KMC Manchester.

In her first visit to KMC London, Kelsang Sama’s presence drew mostly new faces along with long-time practitioners. Her warm, uplifting approach made profound Kadampa Buddhist teachings feel accessible and deeply relevant to everyday life.

Following the talks and guided meditations, the atmosphere remained joyful and open as participants stayed to chat with Kelsang Sama and with one another - sharing personal insights, reflections, and moments of clarity inspired by the teachings.

As the event came to a close, attendees left feeling inspired, connected, and renewed - a true glow-up from within.

Special Visits from Kadam Adam and Gen Lekma at KMC Colorado

What an amazing 3 weeks we have had at KMC Colorado! What's been happening? Just before and after our annual International Fall Festival we invited two fantastic Teachers from Ireland and England to lead retreat, our regular meditation classes, and a public talk here. Kadam Adam, Resident Teacher of KMC Dublin, was our first visiting Teacher. We had over 160 meditators for his 3 special events and we can say that many people left excited to practice meditation and improve their peace of mind. The Temple was blessed to have such an inspiring example of love, gratitude and peace, showing us the profound truth of Dharma and how to apply it in our daily life.

After the International Fall Festival KMC Colorado had the honor of hosting Gen Kelsang Lekma, Resident Teacher of KMC Southampton in England. Gen Lekma led a two day retreat on the special breathing meditation called Taking and Giving. With over 50 people attending over the weekend she skillfully taught this magical practice that has the power to heal not only physical illness but heal emotional pain and heal relationships. This meditation practice not only leads us on the path to temporary peace but also permanent peace!

Thank you Kadam Adam and Gen Lekma for all your amazing efforts in helping the people and community of Denver.

Gen Sherab visited Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre

Gen Sherab returned to Newcastle to guide a day course on overcoming fear through reliance on our Spiritual Guide and by engaging in our regular Dharma practice. It was a full house and it was lovely for everyone to see each other and gather together.
