A wide variety of courses around the world

Kadampa centers offer so much variety in the way they present Dharma—from open days offering 'taster' meditations to in-depth retreats focused on profound Dharma. Below we hear from KMC France, KMC Madrid, KMC Austria, KMC Barcelona and Pachuca KBC.

Heritage Days Filled with Peace and Gratitude at kmc france

More than 420 people came to visit us during Heritage Days!

We are very happy and deeply grateful to share the history of the center, from its beginnings to what it has become today — a holy space for practitioners and volunteers from around the world.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make it possible to continue our mission of offering a place of peace and meditation for all.

A Weekend to Remember at KMC Madrid

Last week we had the great good fortune to welcome a kind guest Teacher, Gen Kelsang Trime, Resident Teacher at KMC Spain.

On Thursday we opened the program with a beautiful public talk in Madrid: The Power of Believing in Yourself. It was a very special evening, full of inspiration, with both newcomers and members of our Sangha coming together.

From Friday onwards we gathered at our retreat center in the mountains to enjoy a Guru Yoga and Mandala Offering retreat. In every session we had the opportunity to offer pure worlds, creating an atmosphere of peace, concentration, and spiritual joy.

It was a truly meaningful weekend, filled with the joy of reuniting, the value of sharing together, and the blessing of receiving such profound teachings. Without doubt, a weekend to keep in our hearts .

Thank you to Venerable Geshe-la and to everyone who made this possible as well as to all who joined us. Let us continue creating causes of peace and wisdom for the benefit of all beings!

“The Art of Joyful Living” – with a visiting teacher in Vienna

In mid-September, we were delighted to host a wonderful guest Teacher course at Kadampa Meditation Center Austria in Vienna with Kadam Andrew Crompton, Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Slovenia. Under the title The Art of Joyful Living – Overcoming Attachment in Daily Life, he guided participants through inspiring teachings and meditations.

With great clarity and wisdom, he showed how strongly attachment shapes our daily life: we cling to things, people, or experiences, hope not to lose them, and suffer when we do. These unconscious patterns often deprive us of inner freedom and true happiness.

Kadam Andrew, however, conveyed an encouraging message: it is possible to fully enjoy life without attachment. Through a deeper understanding of the mind – based on the instructions of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche in his book How to Understand the Mind – and through the practice of meditation, especially meditation on subtle impermanence, we were able to gain valuable insights and train in this liberating perspective. We are sincerely grateful to Kadam Andrew for his clear explanations and for sharing his deep connection with Venerable Geshe-la.

May the essence of these teachings – discovering genuine joy beyond attachment – enrich our lives and continue to guide us on our spiritual path.

Becoming Spiritual Travellers with Gen Lochani in barcelona

This past weekend in Barcelona we enjoyed a very inspiring course on becoming spiritual travelers, guided by Gen Kelsang Lochani, with more than 140 people taking part.

We received profound and valuable teachings that inspire us to give greater meaning to our lives and to open our hearts to benefiting others. It was a unique opportunity to reflect on such an essential topic in a clear, open and very practical way — something we can all take into our daily lives.

We feel deeply grateful for having shared this experience together, creating such a warm and inspiring atmosphere. Above all, we thank from our hearts our precious Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, whose wisdom, compassion and pure example make all this possible.

Mahamudra Retreat in pachuca, mexico

This past weekend we had the wonderful opportunity to attend a very special retreat in Acaxocitlán, Hidalgo, at Hacienda Santa Cecilia. In this retreat we accumulated merit, planting the causes in our mental continuum to be able to attain the supreme realization of enlightenment for the benefit of all living beings.

It was a deeply meaningful weekend, full of virtuous energy and happy minds, making the most of each meditation session, together with the blessings that our precious Spiritual Guide bestowed in every session of this wonderful retreat.

May I very soon attain the realizations of Vajrayana Mahamudra!
