Inspiring Visits from Senior Teachers

Last weekend, more than 110 people gathered at KMC Madrid La Sierra to take part in a very blessed Refuge Vows retreat, guided by our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Chokga.
Throughout the weekend, we had the opportunity to deepen our understanding of what it means to go for refuge to the Three Jewels – Buddha, Dharma and Sangha – and to sincerely strengthen our commitment to follow this path of wisdom and compassion.
The atmosphere was filled with inspiration, joy and inner peace. The teachings and meditations reminded us that refuge is the firm foundation upon which we can build a meaningful and peaceful life.
We are deeply grateful for this precious retreat in the peaceful environment of the Sierra, which inspires us to continue with confidence and an open heart. May everyone find refuge in the peace of their own mind.
In order to make Buddha's precious teachings equally available to everyone in the world, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche envisioned a Kadampa center in every major city.
On Saturday, August 30th, around 34 people gathered at the new premises of Kadampa Meditation Center Peru to learn about the benefits of meditation and reflect on the importance of having a Kadampa center in the city of Lima.
It was a wonderful afternoon during which attendees received inspiring teachings and, at the same time, connected with new friends who shared a common desire to cultivate inner peace. The meeting became a beautiful opportunity to strengthen the hope that, through individual transformation, it is possible to dream of—and work toward—world peace.
Visiting Teachers brought practical wisdom and joyful inspiration to Kadampa communities in Fort Collins and Guadalajara, helping participants discover greater inner peace, concentration, and freedom from anxiety.
