Celebrating Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day and the Birthday of our Spiritual Guide
Jun 4, 2026
Last weekend, we had the good fortune to receive the Buddha Amitayus empowerment with Kadam Natalia at KMC Valladolid.
This was the first empowerment held at our new center, and everyone was delighted. We connected deeply with the blessings of Buddha Amitayus, and Kadam Natalia granted the empowerment with great clarity. She also explained how to practice the yoga of Buddha Amitayus, enabling us to develop our potential to become enlightened beings.
Finally, we feel fortunate to have shared this event with the Sangha from Barcelona, Madrid, Segovia, and León.
Last weekend, we also had the great fortune to receive the empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni with Kelsang Palmo at KMC Girona, marking our first empowerment at this new center.
The atmosphere at KMC Girona was peaceful and filled with blessings, creating an unforgettable experience. During the empowerment, we connected with Buddha Shakyamuni, reflecting on his qualities of wisdom, compassion, and inner strength.
Kelsang Palmo, with clarity and gentleness, explained the meaning of the Liberating Prayer, showing us how, by putting these teachings into practice, we can transform negative states of mind and awaken our potential for peace and happiness. We feel very fortunate to have shared this precious event together.
We were also deeply fortunate to receive the empowerment of the Great Mother Prajnaparamita at KMC Trois-Rivières. Our hearts are full of gratitude for Venerable Geshe-la’s inconceivable kindness.
What a joy it was to gather together to receive Prajnaparamita's profound blessings. People came from all over Quebec to attend the event: from Montreal, Sherbrooke, Joliette, and Victoriaville.
We thank our teacher Kelsang Tsulma, who transmitted very clear instructions on the Heart Sutra during the retreat on the Great Mother practice.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers who made this event possible through their kindness, preparing a magnificent empowerment table representing the pure land of Akanishta. We are also grateful for the delicious meals prepared by the volunteers, whose kindness was immeasurable. How wonderful it is to enjoy the Sangha jewel!
In September, Gen Ananda returned to Athens (Greece) for a weekend of profound teachings on the Perfection of Wisdom, a torma-making class, and a highly auspicious empowerment of Prajnaparamita. Since it had been a long time since such an event took place, there was great enthusiasm, with 36 people attending the course.
On Thursday night, Gen Ananda shared his torma-making skills and helped the emerging Sangha community decorate a beautiful shrine for the Great Mother, Prajnaparamita. On Friday evening, a public talk was held in the adjoining art space, where he guided an enthusiastic audience into the heart of Buddha’s Sutra teachings on the Perfection of Wisdom. Over the rest of the weekend, Gen Ananda granted the empowerment and provided a commentary based on Venerable Geshe-la's book The New Heart of Wisdom. Sunday morning was spent with guided meditations on the Great Mother, removing all our obstacles faithfully.
This relaxed and blessed weekend filled us with great hope for the development of Kadam Dharma in Greece!
June 4 is the Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day on which we celebrate Buddha’s first teaching in this world - the first Turning of the Wheel of Dharma. It is also the birthday of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the Founder of NKT.
