BLESSED MOMENTS AND AUSPICIOUS EVENTS AROUND THE WORLD

Kadampa communities shine as they receive empowerments, install the Wheel of Dharma in their centers, and celebrate Dharma in their area. From Brazil to Spain to Canada, hearts are uplifted and inspired.

New Precious Wheel of Dharma in Barcelona city

The urban center in Barcelona now has a new Wheel of Dharma, which was produced in a special project in Granada. Thank you all for the collaboration in making this happen and for ensuring that Dharma continues to grow unceasingly.

The Wheel of Dharma symbolizes Buddha teaching Dharma in this world. In the book Introduction to Buddhism, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso explains:

It is because of the great kindness of Buddha in turning the Wheel of Dharma that the people of this world have the opportunity to follow a spiritual path … Without these teachings there would be no path for us to follow and so no possibility of bringing our suffering to an end.

Receiving the wheel of dharma at kmc girona

The urban center of Girona recently received the Wheel of Dharma from Barcelona, who were installing a larger wheel. Thank you all for making this possible. We pray that Dharma continues to flourish throughout the world.

Rejoicing in 32 Years of Kadam Dharma in Canada
with Buddha Vajrapani’s Blessings

KMC Canada celebrated its 32nd anniversary on September 20. This event was the source of deep rejoicing for our Canadian Sangha. Resident Teachers and many others from centers in Ontario and Quebec joined in - it really felt like a mini Festival.

The day was composed of three parts: the empowerment of the Buddha of spiritual power, Buddha Vajrapani; a special presentation of the history of the center and its vision for the future; and a community barbecue.

The empowerment given by our Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Chodor was powerful and very moving as he explained with great clarity how we only have one enemy, our delusions, and that through sincere reliance upon Vajrapani we can overcome them and become a source of joy for all those around us.

The presentation, also broadcast across the country, was made by our Admin Director, Kelsang Togden, and our Tharpa manager, Gabriel Charbonneau, and inspired everyone to join in sharing Venerable Geshe-la’s vision for the flourishing of Kadam Dharma in Canada.

After a group photo in front of the Temple, we gathered in the backyard to enjoy a delicious barbecue together, joined by a few neighbors.

Many preparations were made to make the event a beautiful success: we created merchandized items (mugs, T-shirts and stickers with our new logo); designed and installed a new, inviting and more modern sign, and also planted an emerald cedar in front of the Temple; created a video recording of many Sangha saying “I rejoice”; and, in our community area, put up a beautiful poster of Venerable Geshe-la’s visit to Toronto in 2003. All these contributed to making this event very special, like a new beginning for the center.

From the depths of our hearts we all rejoice in having met Venerable Geshe-la’s precious Kadam Dharma, and are deeply inspired to spread it throughout our city and country. Thank you Geshe-la!

Open House Morning: Sharing, Meditation, and Community

This was a beautiful opportunity to get to know each other in the neighborhood!
We enjoyed some delicious pancakes and were able to share the facilities with everyone: the meditation room and shrine, children's meditation class, our bookstore, and the garden.

Thank you to everyone who attended — it was nice to have breakfast and meditate together. We hope to see you at upcoming events!
